Week Five... and so the journey begins to fade as travel plans are made.

What a crazy week it has been; trying to get plans together for going home, doing random jobs for everyone, getting to see a familiar face. It was all just so strange.

Rule #1:

Never be sorry for anything you create artistically. Be proud of your work, explain your ideas and if people don't like it ask them why, learn from them; if they make a good point. If they say something stupid, well screw them!
--- Chris B.

What a strange week of work. Monday I organized the clothes in the fall 08' line and I made a collage table top for the outdoor retail show. Then on Tuesday I did many various jobs and got everything together for the spring 09' season. Finally something truly interesting happened on Wednesday, I got invited to work OR which is a huge Outdoor Retail show in Salt Lake City. Since I got invited to the show I had to work on buying plane tickets. I do not want to fly alone cause it scares the crud out of me. So I worked out the perfect travel plans to go with my co-worker Tim, everything was completely set and I had my ticket ready. Then Thursday came along. On Thursday morning it was decided that Tim was not going to OR. Therefore I now had to find a way to get to an airport 2 hours outside of LA for 5:00 in the am on my own. Obviously my day was not going so well, I pretty much fell apart and tried to find many other ways to get home. At the end of the day though my flight stayed the same and Tim had offered to drive me to the airport. So on the 5th I will be waking up at 3 am driving to the airport and flying alone. Not my idea of traveling at all, o well it will make OR so much better.

Work isn't the only thing that has been crazy around here though. There were three birthdays this week and therefore many birthday dinners. BBQs at home and going out. Then on top of that Karinda and I went to see "DARK KNIGHT" again and Parker came out from Telluride so I have been hanging out with him. It is so nice having a familiar face. Speaking of which on Tuesday I saw a man who used to live in Telluride, you may remember him, he had the dog, cat, and rat that all sat on each other. I honestly thought I was going to have a heart attack when I saw him, it was just so strange.

Overall, It has been a crazy week and my final week begins now. I leave on the 5th and therefore this week is going to be very hectic and very sad. I really don't ever want to leave this place. It has all been so amazing and I don't want it to end. So I'm going to make the best of my last week in Santa Barbara and then I will be off to Salt Lake City for the Outdoor Retail show!

Man, the dog/cat/mouse guy really gets around! I thought he was living in Bisbee, AZ now. What a weird small world.
