Week 1
Finally the time had come. I was finally if Ft. Worth again what I would like to call my second home. Roz Rosenthal, a.k.a Grammy Roz, has taken taken me into her home this year as well as the previous year for the time that I was working with my internships. I was asked my Roz to come dressed nice because we would immediately be driving to her synagogue to see a musical service. I had learned much about judism last year through discussion with Roz and learned even more at the service. My first week in Texas was meant for just settling in, relaxing, and spending time with Roz and Bea, Roz's assistant. Bea is also a wonderful lady who has done so much for me. She makes sure that I never go hungry. :)
Roz and I went to several musical events the first week. I saw my first opera, Of Mice and Men. I also went to a couple piano concerts at TCU (Texas Christian University), and to the Concerts in the Gardens as well, located at the Botanical Gardens in Ft. Worth. I also met with several friends that I had made last year including Bea's grandson, David. David has shares several interests with me so we get along great!
The first week was relaxing and it was just the thing that I needed after working very hard, preparing for the trip. But, even though I had done much relaxing, the hard work was still ahead of me.
